Well I was kind of putting off starting this thing until, like Hillary Clinton, I found my “voice”, but then I was driving to my bridge night (and by bridge night I mean the one night every month and half that I play bridge) I just thought what the heck. I connected the old ipod to car stereo (and by stereo I mean one working speaker in front, one intermittent speaker in front, and two working speakers in the back) and loaded up Amy Winehouse Back to Black. Although I have heard a lot about Amy Winehouse, I somehow had never managed to hear her music. I was later told that apparently she is a favorite of many spin instructors, if not spin instructees, but due to my poor attendance at the gym recently, and the fact that even when I went to gym every day I never took spin class I guess I never had the chance before to hear the music.
So what did I think of Amy Winehouse you ask? Ehhh. It was OK I guess. For me it was a little too Motown retro with a modern twist. I am not sure what jus the right amount of Motown retro with a modern twist is, but I know that this is not it. On a scale of 1-14 I rate this album a 7.5.
